Arizona Divorce — Self-Help Document Preparation
Arizona calls it a dissolution of marriage, and it's a no-fault state. After you file, the court can't finalize anything for at least 60 days — a built-in cooling-off period — and an uncontested dissolution is mostly a structured forms process Arizona's own system is built to support.
Grounds & residency: No-fault dissolution; one spouse must have lived in Arizona at least 90 days before filing (A.R.S. §25-312). (Covenant marriages are the narrow exception.)
The process: File a Petition for Dissolution of Marriage; serve your spouse; if uncontested, submit the consent decree and required forms after the waiting period.
Waiting period: The court cannot enter a decree until 60 days after the respondent is served (A.R.S. §25-329); a served spouse generally has 20–30 days to respond.
Lead move: File the Petition for Dissolution (A.R.S. §25-312); Arizona's certified Legal Document Preparer framework supports self-help forms — bring in an attorney if it's contested.
